About kids NLP
Kids NLP Scotland is headed by a successful NLP Trainer, with a wealth of experience in education and the development of people. First- hand experience of working with children and young people and their parents drew Karen to NLP. Many children and families face challenges in life: coping with change whether moving house or school, family issues, peer relationships, lack of self belief or negative behaviour patterns that are difficult to break free from, anxieties of phobias. Parents often turn to the school for help and while advice can be given from a range of experts, Karen believed there must be a way to effect change quickly and proactively as there were often limited resources with long waiting lists and the family wants to change things now or the near future, that's why they seek help.
Nowadays, many families don't have nearby family networks to support them. At times other family members are blinded to the underlying issues due to their close involvement. Kids don't come with instruction sheets and at times as a parent or carer you don't know how to proceed.
With NLP
- Change is rapid.
- The techniques are easily learned by the child.
- They learn how to use their own brain to effect change.
Karen Beveridge has years of experience in schools, and the classroom environment. As a Head Teacher, Karen is aware of the challenges faced by children that's why she decided to establish Kids NLP Scotland.
With a few associates Karen spent a portion of the first quarter of 2008 working in difficult schools throughout Glasgow. That was the acid test and proved the strategies worked well. With some challenging classes we taught the children how to use their brains more skill-fully and the kids most importantly enjoyed it.
Kids NLP is working weekly with individual children, running quarterly workshops for parents to provide them the tools to support their children more effectively, as well as facilitating workshops for children. The range of issues are very varied but overcoming barriers is so rewarding. Schools are also advising parents of the service, which completes the circle in that Karen knew there was a demand for such a service for families.
